Emmanuel Christian School is located in a rural setting, between the villages of Kyambla and Nsaalu, on the Kalunga murram road. It is 6 kilometres from the main Kampala to Masaka Road.
The school is a non-denomination Christian school with students from other beliefs; some students come from Kampala, Rakai, Lyantonde, Isingiro, Mbarara,Hoima, Tanzania and Rwanda.
The lack of rain has resulted in fewer crops; this together with the rising cost of fuel has resulted in steep price rises. As Uganda's a land locked country everything has to be brought in by road.
Because the School is in the country side it collects water from the roofs and is stored in a number of tanks. Before Christine and I returned home from our visit to the school in 2009 all the water tanks were full and over 300 Matooke trees (Banana trees) growing on the school site.
Emmanuel Missions Uganda, is run in England by 5 Trustees, all of them are born again Christians, and are members of different churches. They make certain that all the monies which are donated to the charity are used only for the ministry out in Uganda.
